Found some good alerts

So I was looking for some new ideas and tried out the Day Trade Setups. It was pretty easy to sign up. The alerts started showing up right away. I liked seeing the pre-market analysis too. Seemed to give me a head start on some things. Felt pretty good about it.

Good information, slight delay

I purchased an annual subscription to access the Live Trade Setups and also one of their Stock Market Research Guides. Ordering was straightforward, the website was easy to navigate. The Research Guide downloaded instantly, which was great. The Live Trade Setups started appearing in my dashboard the next morning as described. I had a question about one of the Technical Analysis Tools and their support team responded within a day. Delivery of the service itself was smooth. The quality of the research in the guide was high, very data-driven. Overall a positive experience, though it took about a day for all the features to fully activate.

Always reliable service

I've used Stock Market Guides for over a year now, mainly for their Swing Trade Alerts. This last month, I also tried out the Custom Backtesting Reports for a specific strategy. As usual, the insights were solid and helped confirm some ideas I had. It's consistently good, which is why I keep coming back.

Is Stock Market Guides actually legit or just another scam? Some of these trading services feel so dodgy.

M Mark 2 months ago
I've been using them for a few months, seems pretty solid to me. The backtested stuff is transparent enough that it feels real. Not a guru promising yachts.

Totally legit. They explain how the backtests work which makes a huge difference. Not like those 'get rich quick' types.

How does this compare to Seeking Alpha? SA has a ton of articles but I'm looking more for actual trade setups.

O Omar S. 2 months ago
Big difference. Seeking Alpha is more about in-depth articles and news. SMG is focused on actionable setups and signals based on data. If you want specific trades, SMG is better.

Yeah, completely different vibe. SA is good for fundamental research but if you're looking for when to BUY or SELL based on patterns, SMG is the way to go.

Thinking of trying this out, but I'm in San Francisco. Anyone know how quick the real-time alerts actually hit your phone? Don't want to miss a move.

L Laura 2 months ago
Yeah, I'm in LA and get them pretty much instantly. No noticeable delay for swing trade alerts at least.

They're real-time as in when the condition is met, it triggers. It's not like they're waiting around to send them out. I think it depends more on your phone's notifications than their system.

Hey, anyone know if they have a free trial? Don't want to commit to a full month without seeing if it's for me.

M Mark E. 2 months ago
Yeah, they usually do. Check their main page or an intro link, that's how I got mine.

I think they always offer a free trial. It's usually pretty easy to find on their site.

What's the deal with payment methods here? Can I use PayPal or is it just credit cards? My bank sometimes flags subscription stuff.

C Cleo Osei 2 months ago
Pretty sure it's standard credit card stuff. Visa, Mastercard, AMEX. Don't remember seeing PayPal last time I renewed.

R Rachel W. 2 months ago
Afaik, it's mainly cards. I just use my regular debit card, no issues.

If I sign up for the annual plan, can I cancel anytime and get a pro-rated refund? Just in case I don't use it as much as I think.

J Julia 1 month ago
You can cancel anytime, but their refund policy is usually pretty clear about what you get back. It's not always pro-rated for annual plans, so definitely check that specifically.

I canceled my monthly plan once, and it was super easy. For annual, I think they have a specific window for refunds, otherwise, you just don't get charged for the next year. Read the fine print!
